The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce’s Asian American Scholarship Fund was established in 1989 to provide financial assistance to Asian American high school seniors who have demonstrated scholastic achievements, financial need and will pursue post-secondary education at an accredited educational institution in the United States.

Scholarship award recipients will be announced during USPAACC’s Annual CelebrAsian Conference in May of each year. USPAACC’s Asian American Scholarship Fund accepts applications year-round. The deadline for applications must be postmarked by February 28.

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
The applicant should be:
  • At least 16 years of age at the time of application
  • Of Asian or Pacific Heritage
  • A citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Beginning full-time study at an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the United States in the Fall of the year the award is presented
  • Able to attend Excellence Awards and Scholarships Dinner during the CelebrAsian Annual Conference
The applicant should demonstrate:
  • Academic excellence with a 3.3 GPA or higher
  • Leadership in extracurricular activities
  • Community involvement or public service
  • Financial need
The applicant should furnish (please send all the documents in one package):
  • An application for a specified Asian American Scholarship
  • Information on the proposed course of study and associated costs
  • High school transcripts for the previous two years
  • Two letters of recommendation from those listed as a reference (must arrive in a sealed envelope with the signature of the reference on envelope)
    - One from a representative of the high school
    - One from a community service organization
  • An essay on “Why I need this scholarship” no longer than 500 words
  • A bio of no longer than 100 words
  • A 2x2 photograph (Scanned photographs will not be accepted. Photographs will not be returned)
The scholarship must be used for a full-time course of study at an accredited college and/or university commencing in the Fall of the year award is presented; will be paid directly to the recipient's college and/or university; will not pay for correspondence courses, internet courses, or study in a country other than in the United States.
